Labour Saving Devices Program

This program seeks to solve issues associated with obstacles to equipment supply and availability. These issues are wrapped around absence of organized buyer groups along the entire value chain; few and dispersed suppliers; absence of catalyst to stimulate demand; absence of trade credit along the entire value chain, weak presence of financial institutions; seasonality of demand; ineffective demand of equipment buyers among many issues.

Farmers are well aware of the time, cost and energy saving characteristics of labour saving devices while simultaneously improving the quality of output due to the cost of acquiring labour saving devices such as tractors, planters, boom sprayers, harvesters, threshers, shellers, hullers, grinding machines for rural poor farmers.

Our labour saving device cluster program seeks to provide access to such equipment to rural poor farmer on a lease from a central point where mechanics and other complimentary services are provided.
